How to connect ChatGPT to your Google Ads and Meta Ads
LoomaScale is the connector that lets ChatGPT read and run your ad accounts. Add it once, then ask for campaigns, budgets and reports in plain language.
ChatGPT cannot reach your ad accounts on its own. LoomaScale sits between them: you add it to ChatGPT once, sign in with your LoomaScale account, and from then on ChatGPT can read your Google Ads or Meta Ads and act on them when you ask it to.
The whole setup takes about two minutes and needs no code. LoomaScale is still awaiting its listing in the ChatGPT app directory, so the plugin is added by hand in developer mode — but the two links below open ChatGPT straight on the screens you need, so there are no menus to hunt through.
Nothing spends money without you. New campaigns are created paused, and every change that moves budget is proposed for your approval first.
New to this? Google Ads and ChatGPT, connected shows the whole thing in a two-minute video before you start clicking.
What you need
- A free LoomaScale account — create one here.
- A ChatGPT account. Free and paid plans both work.
- A Google Ads or Meta Ads account you can sign in to.
Which ad platforms this works with
One connector covers both Google Ads and Meta Ads, and the steps are identical for either. You choose which ad account ChatGPT may reach when you connect it inside LoomaScale; the test prompt in the last step then reports back from that platform.
The setup, step by step
Turn on Developer mode
Developer mode is where ChatGPT lets you add a plugin of your own. Scroll down to Developer mode, switch it on.
Enable Developer mode in ChatGPT
Add the LoomaScale plugin
Add LoomaScale MCP.
Add the LoomaScale pluginName
Connection · Server URL
Finally tick “I understand and want to continue” and click Create.

Authorize with your LoomaScale account
ChatGPT shows an “Add LoomaScale to ChatGPT” dialog — click Sign in with LoomaScale.

Check that it works
Open a new chat in ChatGPT, mention LoomaScale, and send:
If something goes wrong
- It says your Google Ads account is not connected
- Connect it on the connections page and select an ad account. Reconnecting there is also the fix if the connection expired.
- It says you have used all your free requests
- The free plan includes a fixed number of requests per calendar month. Open the connections page to see your usage and upgrade for unlimited requests.
- Reading works, but every change is refused
- The plugin was created without write access. Edit it in ChatGPT, set the default scopes to ads.read ads.write under Advanced OAuth settings, and authorize again. If ChatGPT will not let you edit the scopes, delete the plugin and add it again from step 2.
- Opening the server URL in a browser shows an error
- Expected. The address only answers the requests ChatGPT makes, so a browser visit returns “method not allowed”. That is not a sign anything is broken.
Still stuck? Email team@loomascale.com and include what you asked and what came back.
What should I ask ChatGPT first?
Three prompts for your first five minutes, in the order they make sense. Copy one, paste it into ChatGPT, send it.
All three only read the account. ChatGPT tells you what it would change and waits — nothing in Google Ads moves until you approve it.
Where is my Google Ads money being wasted?
Run this one first. It reads the last 30 days across campaigns, ad groups, keywords and search terms, then ranks the three findings costing you the most. This is the free audit, so it works on the free plan and needs nothing beyond the connection you just made.
You get back: three findings ranked by money lost, the metrics behind each, the exact fix, and an estimate of what you would save per month.
@LoomaScale Audit my Google Ads account for wasted spend over the last 30 days. Look across campaigns, ad groups, keywords and search terms, and check three things in particular: search terms that cost money without converting, budget going to campaigns and ad groups that produce no conversions, and daily budgets spent on delivery that never turns into results. Report the three most important findings, ranked by how much money each one is losing me. For each finding show the supporting metrics, explain in one sentence why it matters, and give the exact change you recommend. Then estimate how much I could save per month by fixing all three, and tell me which single change is the safest one to make first. Do not change anything in my account without asking me first.
Which search terms should I block?
Paying for searches that never convert is the most common leak in a Google Ads account. This finds every term that spent more than $20 with zero conversions in the last 30 days, groups them by intent, and names the negative keywords to add. Here is a worked example of this check.
You get back: wasted queries grouped by intent, plus the exact negative keywords and match types, at campaign or ad group level. Nothing is applied.
@LoomaScale Review my Google Ads search terms from the last 30 days. Find terms that spent more than $20 with zero conversions. Group them by intent and explain which are clearly irrelevant versus potentially valuable but unproven. Recommend the exact negative keywords and match types I should add, and whether each belongs at campaign or ad group level. Be careful not to block converting or high-intent variants. Do not apply anything. If there is nothing worth acting on, tell me that instead.
What changed in my account this week?
Make this the one you repeat. It compares the last 30 days with the 30 before and separates real causes from coincidence, so a drop in conversions comes back with the campaign, ad group or keyword behind it rather than a dashboard to interpret.
You get back: the biggest moves in spend, conversions, CPA, ROAS, CTR, CPC and conversion rate, with the evidence for each conclusion.
@LoomaScale Explain the biggest performance changes in my Google Ads account over the last 30 days compared with the previous 30 days. Identify what drove the changes in spend, conversions, CPA, ROAS, CTR, CPC and conversion rate, and drill into the campaigns, ad groups or keywords responsible. Separate likely causes from correlations and show the evidence behind each conclusion.
Save any of these as a scheduled Task in ChatGPT and it runs on its own, at the cadence on the card.
When three is not enough, our prompt library has fifteen more you can paste today — campaign builds, ad copy, budget reallocation and the weekly report.
Questions people ask before they start
- Is LoomaScale free?
- There is a free plan, and it starts with a free Google Ads waste audit: 15 successful requests every calendar month, no card required. You can connect a real ad account on it and run the whole workflow before paying for anything.
- Do I need a paid ChatGPT plan?
- No. The plugin works the same on free and paid ChatGPT accounts.
- Can ChatGPT spend my budget without asking?
- No. New campaigns and ad groups are created paused. Budget changes, new audiences, and anything else that moves money is proposed to you first and waits for your approval.
- Does LoomaScale need my Google or Meta password?
- Never. You authorize through the platform's own sign-in, the same way any approved marketing tool connects, and you can revoke that access from your Google or Meta account settings at any time.
- Why do I have to turn on developer mode in ChatGPT?
- Only because LoomaScale is not yet listed in the ChatGPT app directory. Until it is, a plugin has to be added by hand, and developer mode is the switch that allows that. The connection itself is the standard OAuth flow — nothing experimental.
- Which ad platforms are supported?
- Google Ads and Meta Ads. Both run through the same plugin, so you set it up once regardless of which one you advertise on.
- What can I ask for once it is connected?
- Reports on spend, pacing and results; new search, Performance Max or Meta campaigns; budget and bid changes; search-term and negative-keyword cleanups; and plain-language explanations of why a campaign is doing what it is doing.
- Can I use Claude instead of ChatGPT?
- Yes — Claude is supported through a custom connector, which is fewer steps than this. See the Claude setup guide.
